The WeMAR/SEVRAR Merger Update and the New Property Management Specific POA at the Arizona Department of Revenue

On October 22nd WeMAR hosted the last Government Affairs Advisory Council Meeting for 2019, and the last WeMAR association Government Affairs Advisory Council. The final vote for the merger between WeMAR and SEVRAR was taken on October 23rd, and our two associations will be merging to be known as WeSERV.

Roger Nelson, our CEO, update us on the merger process and our future association at the October 22nd Government Affairs Advisory Council Meeting. NAR confirmed the merger, and we are officially known as WeSERV. Our membership area includes West Maricopa County, East Maricopa County, Pinal County, Douglas.

Roger covered many questions regarding our association and its future.

Also at our Oct 22nd Government Affairs Advisory Council Meeting we discussed the new Arizona LLC law, the Operating Agreement and how LLC members and managers can minimize the default liabilities contained in the new Arizona LLC law.

Property managers and their clients will be happy to find the Arizona Department of Revenue has released the long awaited Property Manager specific POA (Power of Attorney). Also new, a property manager specific telephone number and email address staffed by DOR personnel familiar with the special needs of property managers.
