Property Management Specific POA at Dept. of Revenue

The WeMAR TPT Task Force has been working with the Arizona Department of Revenue for a year now, educating them on the problems Property Managers, their staffs, property owners and business owners are having with the TPT system.

WeMAR identified 38 specific items to be addressed including form revisions, website layout and resources.

Our first task was to change the POA’s at the Department of Revenue. Property Managers now have a specific POA they can use. The new POA can be found at the Department of Revenue website, Form 285-PMC.

Please read the second and third-page directions as they illuminate the information you will be submitting on the form 285-PMC.

In particular, notice the provision for PMC’s to submit additional appointees to interact with DOR on behalf of the brokerage (4g). Also pay attention to the check box for Corporations. Page 3 of the instructions provides more detail.

In section 2, the PMC Appointee ID can be a unique identifying number the PMC creates.

At the top of page 2 is a box with contact information to the Residential Rental Specialists at DOR. The email and phone number are staffed with DOR staff conversant and knowledgeable in the needs of Property Managers. DOR requests property managers communicate through the newly established phone number and email address.

As you and other Property Managers use this new POA form, please let me know of additional changes or clarifications needed to make the form easier to use by property owners and property managers.
