Surprise Council District 5 – Applications Due December 10, 2018

When Surprise Mayor Sharon Wolcott resigned from office in November, the City Council appointed Councilman Skip Hall to become Mayor. Mayor Hall’s term will end December 31, 2020.

In the meantime, Mayor Hall’s City Council District seat needs to be filled. The City of Surprise announced applications for the appointment on November 26th.

The term of office will expire on December 31, 2020. To apply you may go to the City of Surprise website. Here are the basic requirements:

  • Reside in Surprise City Council District 5
  • Submit your application to the Surprise City Clerk’s office by 5pm on December 10th

Applicants will be interviewed at a Public Hearing on December 20, 2018 at 4pm, with close of comments at a Public Hearing on December 27, 2018 at 5pm.

The Council will make a selection at either the January 3rd or January 15, 2019 Regular City Council meeting.
