Citizen’s Academy

Avondale Citizen's Academy , Mayor and City Council May 8, 2017

Last night the City of Avondale graduated its eleventh Citizen’s Academy class.

I try to post these and other city classes as I find out about them, and encourage WeMAR members to participate. In most cities, you do not need to be a resident to attend. The academies are free and you will learn about many aspects of your city.

Why should you consider attending one or more Citizen Academies? From a resident point of view, you learn areas of interest to visit, meet the city staff and council and learn the budgeting and inner workings of your city. All good things to know as you live your life and vote on bond issues and other city issues brought before the voters. In many cities one or more elected officials started on their path by attending their city’s academy.

From a REALTOR® point of view, you will meet the decision makers and learn where to find information helpful to you and your clients. Imagine being able to introduce your clients to THE person at the city who can answer their questions.

Now that is being the Source of the Source!
